Job Seeker/Employee FAQ

Working for a Staffing Agency

What do A-Line Staffing’s services cost me; how much is deducted from my pay?

Good news for you! We do not charge our employees any fees for placement services, and no fee is deducted from your compensation. The amount on your offer letter is the amount you are paid!

Are your positions temporary only?

The majority of the positions that we recruit for have the potential for you to hire on directly with our client! You will often hear this referred to as “contract-to-hire” or “temp-to-hire”. We also work on direct-hire placements, where you could be hired on directly by one of our clients!

Do I have to pay extra taxes if I work as a contractor?

All of our employees are W2 employees, and you are taxed as you would be in any other position!

Can I receive any benefits?

Yes! We offer health, prescription, vision, dental, life, and long- and short-term disability insurance benefits. Additionally, we offer a 401(k) with an employer match! For more details, please reach out to your Staffing Manager.

Yes, we encourage every employee to sign up for direct deposit. Direct deposit is fast, reliable, and good for the environment.

Where and when do I send my timesheet?

To ensure timely processing of payroll, all employees are required to send timesheets to our corporate office by 9 a.m. EST every Monday. You can either fax to 877.782.3444 or email to timesheet@alinestaffing.com.
Some clients require the use of electronic time keeping. If you are working for one of these clients, your staffing manager will send you instructions as part of your first-day confirmation. If you need new instructions, just send a request to hr@alinestaffing.com.

How often are pay periods?

A-Line Staffing Solutions’ pay day is Friday. The majority of employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis. In our healthcare division, nursing and respiratory professionals are paid weekly. If you’re not sure or have questions, please contact your staffing manager to confirm your pay cycle.

I didn’t receive my paycheck! What do I do?

Please read through the list below; these are the most common reasons that you may have not received a paycheck. Our pay week is Sunday through Saturday.

  • Ensure that it is currently a pay week, and that you are not checking too early in the day. Generally, your paycheck should appear in your account by 12:00pm every other Friday.
  • Even if you usually receive checks before Friday (this is sometimes the case with Credit Unions), pay day is on Friday, and there is no guarantee that you will get your check before then.
  • If you did not set up Direct Deposit with us by 5:00pm Eastern on Tuesday the week before pay day, then a paper check was mailed, and will arrive when the postal service is able to deliver it.

For further assistance, please reach out to your Staffing Manager or the Payroll Dept. at (877) 782-3334.

Where do I access my paystubs?

You will receive an e-mail from ADP where you will access your paystubs. If you did not receive this e-mail from ADP, then please contact your Staffing Manager.
